Buildings in Inwood shook this morning when a 4.8 Mag Earthquake centered in Hunterdon County, NJ rumbled through the Tri-State area and beyond. Sources in the Bronx, Philadelphia, and CT reported feeling it. As of 12 PM, there were no injuries or major damage reported in the City. The Governor held a news briefing addressing the tremblor and assuring New Yorkers that the situation was being closely monitored. NYC OEM asked New Yorkers to call 311 to report any damage, to conserve 911 for emergencies, and to enroll in NotifyNYC for updates.
