La Noche Larga de Museos

La Noche Larga de los Museos surge en Alemania, hacia 1997, siendo posteriormente asumida por otros países y adquiriendo cada vez mayor integración y participación de las comunidades. Este evento busca que los visitantes que no pueden acceder en los horarios convencionales, puedan conocer las riquezas museísticas ,y descubrir la importancia de salvaguardar las colecciones que se exhiben y son testimonio esencial de nuestra historia e identidad como nación.

En el país, esta actividad se realiza desde el año dos mil ocho (2008). En su ultima version se contabilizó una asistencia de más de cuarenta mil personas, cifra que mostró la necesidad de la población de contar con estos espacios culturales, saliendo de las restricciones impuestas por la pandemia de 2020, que obligó a cerrar los museos y que ha generado en el subconsciente social las precauciones ante los eventos multitudinarios y la interacción en espacios públicos en general.

La Noche Larga de los Museos es un evento esperado por los dominicanos, sobre todo el Distrito Nacional, donde se encuentra concentrada la mayor cantidad de museos del país.

The Long Night of the Museums arises in Germany, around 1997, being later assumed by other countries and acquiring increasing integration and participation of the communities. This event seeks that visitors who can not access in the conventional schedules, can know the riches of museums, and discover the importance of safeguarding the collections that are exhibited and are essential testimony of our history and identity as a nation.

In the country, this activity has been carried out since the year two thousand and eight (2008). In its latest version, an attendance of more than forty thousand people was counted, a figure that showed the need of the population to have these cultural spaces, leaving the restrictions imposed by the 2020 pandemic, which forced museums to close and that has generated in the social subconscious the precautions before mass events and interaction in public spaces in general.

The Long Night of the Museums is an event awaited by Dominicans, especially the National District, where the largest number of museums in the country are concentrated.
