75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz

Please join us to commemorate this global day of Holocaust remembrance.

10 AM – 6 PM: Free admission to the Museum, including the exhibition Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away. Please stop at the Visitor Services desk after passing through security in order to get your free tickets.

At 9 AM, join Holocaust survivors and other members of the Museum community to watch the live simulcast of the official commemoration ceremony broadcast from Auschwitz, Poland. Reserve tickets (space is limited) >

At 3 PM, chief curator and acclaimed Holocaust scholar Robert Jan van Pelt will explore the significance of the types and provenance of artifacts in Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away. as well as discuss the curatorial decisions that had to be made during the development of this complex exhibition. Reserve tickets >

7 PM: A sold-out concert commemorating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz will take place at NYC’s Temple Emanu-El.
