Extinction Rebellion kicked off a week of actions today with a funeral march this morning at Battery Park and Rebel Fest this afternoon in Washington Square.
Standing by the Arch, Owl Ramapough of Lenape Nation addressed the crowd. “We need to get off of fossil fuels. People that pay attention to the environment use less energy. The system distorts the market. We’re not just destroying the Middle East, we’re destroying ourselves too with fracking.”
