Legend has it that St. Valentine, while awaiting his execution in Rome, miraculously restored the eyesight of a young blind woman and secretly left her a note signed ‘your Valentine’ on this date (in the 3rd Century). Nowadays, Valentine’s Day is typically observed as a celebration of romance, with flowers, chocolates, and a date night rather than an execution.
Florists might beg to differ on this day, but the sad truth is you just cant buy love. Sure, you can buy her something sweet or pretty. But if she loves you already, she won’t let you down…unless you forget!
And even if you do mess up, chances are you can still work it out somehow. Just say something like, ‘oh darling, you know I give you all my loving. You still love me don’t you?’ After that, it won’t be long until everything’s awesome again!
So today and every day, be sure to tell your special someone that you love how they love you.
