What if artists were in a place to make the major decisions for society? What the World Needs Now is a local group exhibition and fundraising auction for Inwood Art Works that is empowering 57 local artists to proactively interpret and express their world view on this theme.  All are welcome to attend the opening celebration our our largest exhibition to date on Friday, November 30! November 30 to December 23

Final chance to meet a selection of these amazing neighbors through an exhibition of diverse artistic mediums. Featuring the work of Nadema AgardNoah Baumwoll, Shane Bullock (Aliven),  Carol DiamondElissa GoreJeff Hoppa, and Eva Nikolova from November 1 to 25 in a pop-up exhibition at Inwood Art Works Gallery at 4857 Broadway. Inwood Art Works’ Inwood Film Festival is a community event in a world class city, intent on showcasing the sights, sounds, people and talents of Inwood, Manhattan and its surrounding community.

Eligible films will be either made in Inwood or its surrounding community or by current or past Inwood community filmmakers.

Categories include:

  • Short Shorts – exhibition of films 5″ or less made by people from Inwood and its surrounding community or made in the Inwood community.
  • Long Shorts – exhibition of short films 25″ minutes or less made by people from Inwood and its surrounding community or made in the Inwood community.
  • Feature Films – exhibition of feature films made by people from Inwood and its surrounding community or made in the Inwood community.
  • Student Films – exhibition of films made by current students who reside or attend school in the Inwood community or made in Inwood.
  • Submissions close January 15, 2019.
  • Festival dates March 14-16, 2019.
