OTR: Glampers

June 26, 2018

This is an installment in the Gazette’s summer series “On The Road.”

In a long bygone era of family road trips, distinctly regional cuisines, and thirty cents a gallon gas, Americans took to the highway, towing their vacay home behind them. A camper convention of sorts caught the Gazette’s attention recently near Cincinnati. These venerable queens of the road are just as glamorous today as they were when they were new, back in the ’50s and ’60s. Here are some examples from the “Glamper Show” in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
