It’s been a long cold lonely winter. It feels like years since it’s been here. Here comes the run…and the single, double, and triple too because baseball is back! The Inwood Little League took the field – and a stretch of Broadway – today ending the cold season’s season and launching their own with a parade. The young teams walked Dykeman and stole Broadway before turning for home in Inwood Park for the National Anthem and first pitch ceremony. Ages ago your writer heard a wise Inwood LL manager solemnly inform his Farm League team that they were here for just two things: to have fun and to learn baseball. Some things never change, thank goodness. The Gazette wishes all of the players, staff, and families an unforgettable season of fun and baseball!
