Following a Federal indictment this week of New York State Attorney General Letitia James, local elected officials showed their support for her with a rally in Foley Square on Friday evening. Among those speaking up in her defense were Democratic Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, Borough Presidents Mark Levine (MN) and Antonio Reynoso (BK), NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, NY Assemblymember Al Taylor, New York State Senators Gustavo Rivera and John C. Liu, and NYC Comptroller Brad Lander. Not present: Mayor Adams; Independent Mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo.
