June 8, 2025
They say ‘Time flies‘ and every now and then we get a stark reminder that it really does. Case in point: the Inwood Film Festival. Has it really been 10 years since its Founder and Executive producer, Aaron Simms, put out a call for entries in the first one? Apparently, yes. And it’s really grown since then! Everything’s bigger and better now, and the lineup of selections for the 2025 Edition was outstanding from the first frame to the last. Whatever your thing is, there was something on the program you’d love – animation, funny shorts, deep dive documentary features and up to the minute filmmaking technique. We managed to catch most of the films last weekend and we highly recommend watching them all. If you missed seeing them ‘live’, you have another opportunity to view them online until Sunday, June 22.
Some photos from the 10th Annual Inwood Film Festival that ran May 29th to June 1st at Columbia U’s Campbell Sports Center on 218th Street:

You Don’t Say/The Poet’s Daughter; Short Shorts Q&A; NO MORE CHILD SUPPORT.
