A recent exhibit at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Santo Domingo marked the 30th Bienal Nacional de Artes Visuales. It featured recent works by Dominican artists and was part of the country’s Noches de Navidad program this past weekend. The holiday event included major museums throughout the country and provided three days of free admissions, themed workshops, live performances and extended hours. The Bienal was dedicated to Jorge Pineda, an artist from Barahona who passed away in February 2023.
