Every week of the year, IAW produces public cultural content in-person and online for our multicultural community in Inwood and its surrounding neighborhoods of Washington Heights and NW Bronx. Its success has not gone unnoticed. Recently, an enthusiastic local resident and frequent attendee of Inwood Art Works’ programming (someone just like you) reached out to me and said, “the work IAW does brings people in this community together. What you do is special for this neighborhood and deserves to be supported. I pledge to match every dollar raised 2 to 1 through December 31, 2023 up to $50,000.”
This act of great kindness and generosity is humbling, and marks a tipping point for Inwood Art Works. Tipping us forward.
It is validating that IAW has inspired confidence and recognition at a time when many cultural arts organizations have declined or closed their doors. IAW is committed to producing another fantastic year of these and other accessible arts events in 2024 just for you and the Uptown community.
We ask for your support to “tip forward” with a gift that will enable IAW to sustain those existing programs that you love, increase its grants to local artists, employ more local artists, and expand our live theatrical programming (More to come about that)!
