Heads up, people!
Today began with a spectacular Midtown crane fire and collapse on the West Side. It went uphill from there: a NASA recon plane swooped over the region on a mapping mission. Dee in western CT said the low flying plane’s “shadow took over the whole backyard“and wondered if it was Training Day.
Then a Chinook copter buzzed the treetops of Inwood Hill Park. This afternoon a humongous C130 made its way up the Hudson, flying low and slow, to parts unknown.
