Inwood Art Works‘ Summer movie series, Film Works Alfresco, launched this year’s program last night at The Hudson on Dyckman Street. Founder and Executive Producer Aaron Simms welcomed his fellow film lovers to this venue on the Hudson river by introducing the Derick K. Grant NY Tap Ensemble dancers. They gave an energetic and delightful performance that the audience clearly enjoyed.
As the Sun sank behind the Jersey Palisades, the sky darkened and the space filled with film fans. Last night they watched “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” starring Frank Sinatra. The series continues with Buena Vista Social Club next Monday. The series is free although reservations are highly recommended as seating is limited.
