It’s been seven years since the Inwood Gazette first published and it’s been a heck of a ride ever since. As for being a local time capsule of our era, we couldn’t have asked for a more dramatic period. Our very first post featured Antifa vs (then candidate) Donald Trump who went on to become President just a few months afterward. Now, an entire pandemic later, we’ve come full circle and the news reports that Trump may be criminally charged here this week are flying wildly this weekend.
Through it all, the Gazette has tried to keep an eye on the ball by covering the latest in art, fashion and politics, along with local and NYC news. The last couple of anniversaries have featured site upgrades such as a search box and a bot-generated “related posts” section. This year we’re adding the option to get an email notification whenever a new post is published. It’s new so please let us know about any hiccups that you may encounter as it rolls out.
