The BBC has announced their list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2022 and it includes onetime resident of Upper Manhattan, Rita Moreno. They’re saying she’s one in a hundred but we think one in 8 billion is more like it. Congratulations, Rita Moreno!
The Gazette met Rita Moreno and Lin Manuel Miranda awhile back at NOMA and the United Palace, when they were here for a book signing and screening of the original West Side Story, in which she starred.
