How Bout Them Lions?

October 18, 2021

Longtime Inwood residents may find it hard to get their heads round the action up on 218th Street this Fall. Accustomed as they are to regarding Baker Field as a place where football dreams go to die, this year’s Columbia Lions have wildly exceeded expectations. They’re off to a 4 and 1 start that they just capped by crushing their rivals from Penn 23-14 on Saturday. It was Homecoming Weekend for alumni and the team did not disappoint. More than 11,000 fans, including the football field’s namesake Robert Kraft, turned out to watch the game.
