New York has a new Governor, Kathy Hochul, who is also the first woman to hold that job. She was our Lt. Governor since 2015. Her predecessor, Andrew Cuomo, resigned at midnight and she was sworn in right after that. History will ultimately judge Cuomo and the decade in which he led New York, but he got in the first word with his farewell speech yesterday:
