Despite the mild weather, the Human Connection Arts bodypainting event today in Times Square drew a much smaller team of artists, models, and gawkers than these events usually do. Nevertheless, it was still a celebration of art and the human body like always. Tourist and foot traffic has picked up a little bit lately at the Crossroads but it’s still far lighter than it used to be. The Disney characters, the Naked Cowboy and the bodypainting crew were all out here this afternoon, entertaining a skeleton crew of tourists who were mostly just wandering around.
