A large brush fire broke out again this afternoon in Inwood Hill Park. FDNY has sent multiple fire apparatus to battle the large blaze, including a fire boat near the Henry Hudson Bridge. The effort is expected to continue overnight and is hampered by absence of fire hydrants deep in the forest. The fire comes amid a week-long news cycle led bu coverage of historically destructive wildfires in the State of California, which continue to burn largely out of control around L.A. despite the efforts of thousands of fire fighters and National Guards.
