Welcome to Fleet Week New York 2024…Celebrating Those Who Serve! Now in its 36th year, our sea services and allied partners will participate in events throughout the New York tri-state area from May 22 – 28.

“Fleet Week is about celebrating those who serve and recognizing the unyielding strength of our Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard team,” said Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Rear Adm. Wesley McCall. “As we come together to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice during their service, we are reminded of the diverse and inclusive fighting force that is currently serving to protect national security and preserve our way of life. Our service members are excited for the opportunity to engage with the community and create lasting connections with the people of New York during this time-honored tradition.”

Tuesday, May 21
Mount Loretto Aviation Event
6541 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10309
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Navy and Coast Guard helicopters will land at the soccer field at Mt. Loretto. Afterwards, attendees will be able to meet and speak with the flight crews. Military displays will also be open to the public for viewing.

Wednesday, May 22
Once a Marine Always a Marine Formation
Father Duffy Square, Times Square, 7th Ave. and West 47th Street NY 10036
6 to 9 p.m.
Currently serving and veterans of the U.S. Marine Corps will come together to celebrate their heritage. Marine Corps Band and Silent Drill Platoon will complete small performances in Times Square.

Thursday, May 23
Public Ship Tours at Pier 88 and 90
Manhattan Pier 88 and Pier 90
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), German Baden-Württemberg-class frigate FGS Baden-Württemberg (F-222), and German Berlin-class replenishment ship FGS Frankfurt am Main (A-1412) will be open for public tours. Visit with crew members and learn about your sea services.

Staten Island Homeport Pier
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
U.S. Navy Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Marinette (LCS 25), U.S. Coast Guard Legend-class cutter USCGC Calhoun (WMSL-759), and U.S. Coast Guard Keeper-class coastal buoy tender USCGC Katherine Walker (WLM-552) will be open for public tours. Visit with crew members and learn about your sea services. Military displays will also be present for viewing.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
U.S. Naval Academy Yard Patrol crafts and Bay-class cutter USCGC Sturgeon Bay (WTGB-109) will be open for free public tours. Visit with crew members and learn about your sea services.

Dive Tank in Times Square
Military Island, 43-44 St Plaza, Times Square
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Navy diving demonstrations will be held in a dive tank within Times Square.

Ceremonial Guard performs in Times Square
Military Island, 43-44 St Plaza, Times Square
6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The US Navy Ceremonial Guard will perform in Times Square, Military Island. Performances will occur in 30 min. increments.

Friday, May 24

May 25, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Come out to see Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard helicopters land at Cricket Field 11, near parking lot 2, and meet the flight crews. Event will also have an EOD fast rope demonstration, performances by Navy Band Northeast and Navy Ceremonial Guard, and military displays to view.

Dive Tank in Times Square

Sea-service diving demonstrations will be held in a dive tank within Times Square.

U.S. Coast Guard Band Performance at Pier 86

11 to 12 p.m.
The U.S. Coast Guard band will perform at Pier 86 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demo
In the water off Staten Island Homeport Pier
12 to 12:30 p.m.
Coast Guard will conduct a search and rescue demonstration in the water off of the Staten Island Homeport Pier.

Band Concert in Times Square

Maspeth Memorial Day Parade

The United Veterans and Fraternal Organizations of Maspeth hosts an annual community parade to recognize service members. This year’s theme is: “The Leaders of the Future”. Service members will walk in the parade and participate in small ceremony.

Forest Hills Memorial Day Weekend Parade – American Legion Post 1424

11 a.m.
The Forest Hills American Legion hosts an annual Memorial Day Weekend Parade to recognize the sacrifice of fallen military members and celebrate local community heroes. Service members will walk in the parade from the American Legion Post to Colonel Remsen Cemetery on Metropolitan Avenue; March kicks off in front of the Post building.

Fleet Week at Liberty State Park

May 26, 12 to 5 p.m.
Navy and Marine Corps helicopters will land for festivities at Liberty State Park. Come and meet the flight crews, interact with military displays (including the Navy Dive Tank), and enjoy youth activities through Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs. There will also be performances by Navy Band Northeast, Coast Guard Silent Drill Team, and Marine Corps Band.

College Point Memorial Day Parade

12 p.m.
Parade to honor service members. Military will walk in the parade that will start at address location, go down main blvd. and end in a neighborhood park.

Village of Hastings on the Hudson Memorial Day Parade and VFW Ceremony

2 p.m.
Military from the sea services will walk in the parade and participate in the Memorial Day Ceremony.

Band Concert in Times Square

Marine Corps Band will play from 4 to 4:30 p.m. followed by the U.S. Fleet Forces Rock Band from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Military from the sea services will participate in the Memorial Day observance that pays homage to those who served in all wars.

Village of Irvington Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade

10:30 a.m.
Wreath laying at Veterans Memorial on Main Street. Followed by a parade to Memorial Park. Military from the seas services will walk in the parade and assist with placing wreaths at all monuments.

American Legion Post #50 Memorial Day Parade (Town of Pelham)

Ridgewood/Glendale Memorial Day Parade

Military from the seas services will walk in the parade. Parade route: Myrtle Avenue from Ridgewood to Glendale.

Staten Island Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Military from the sea services will participate in the Staten Island Memorial Day Parade and Memorial Day Service at the Marine Corps League Det 246.

American Legion Inwood Post #581 Memorial Day Parade
Broadway and Dyckman Street in upper Manhattan
11 a.m.
Military from the seas services will participate in a parade that will stop at the 9/11 Memorial at Church of the Good Shepherd for a moment of silence. Then it will proceed to Inwood Park for wreath laying ceremony.

Bayville Memorial Day Parade
Bayville Village Hall
12:45 p.m.
Military from the seas services will participate in a Memorial Day Ceremony and walk in the parade.

U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demo
In the water off Pier 86
2 to 2:30 p.m.
Coast Guard will conduct a search and rescue demonstration in the water off of Pier 86.

Leonard H. Hawkins American Legion Post 156 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

2:30 p.m.
Veterans, military, and civic groups will participate in a parade honoring those who gave their lives and complete a wreath-laying ceremony at monuments.

Navy Band Northeast and Coast Guard Ceremonial Band will perform at the upper terrace.
