A construction accident this afternoon in Inwood sent five people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to FDNY. A boom truck was working at a building going up on 9th Avenue near the University Heights Bridge, Flair Beverages, and the MTA train yard when the accident occurred. Although officials have been issuing flood watch and high wind warnings continuously since yesterday, weather has not been cited for any role in this incident, as of Tuesday evening. City investigators are looking for the cause of the accident, according to local TV news reports.
