The Inwood Jazz Festival was held today in its namesake Park, up by Indian Road and 218th Street. Fans relaxing on the grass were treated to some great music on an absolutely gorgeous NYC Summer day. According to the Festival’s webpage, the idea behind this event was to support local jazz artists’ post pandemic recovery as well as to enrich the local community. The scene was a reminder that we really are a community up here, what with all the familiar faces from the neighborhood you always see at an event like this. A number of local businesses threw their support behind this effort, providing yet more evidence of Inwood’s community spirit. You can show your support for the Inwood Jazz Festival here by donating some money.
