Inwood’s football team took to their home field on 218th Street today on a picture perfect Saturday. The visiting Wagner Seahawks held off the Lions early, but when the first half ended they trailed 7-0. In the second half Columbia pulled ahead and, although Wagner scored a touchdown, the final score was a lopsided 28-7. This was the annual Northern Manhattan Neighbors Appreciation Day game and uptown fans were comped in. The crowd was on the small side but those who did come saw an excellent game on a terrific Fall afternoon up here.
