It’s always a pleasure to welcome a new shop to Inwood and this week we welcome Bronzino Fish Market. Owner Luciano Ramirez was just getting ready to welcome Inwood residents into his brand new fish store on Broadway when the Gazette popped in to say hello yesterday. He had just opened!
Luciano said the fresh fish on display are the wild sort, not farmed. We took him up on the flounder fillets, which were reasonably priced (four of them for under $20) and can attest to their quality, having wrapped them around a crabmeat concoction we threw together and baked in the oven. No leftovers is all we can say.
At the time we stopped by, Luciano also had some big red Snappers from Florida, some tasty looking monkfish fillets, tilapia, shrimp, and, of course, some branzinos on offer. Everything looked super fresh, resting on a bed of pristine ice chips in the brightly lit shop. If you’re in the neighborhood, and in the mood for some fresh fish, this is the place to go. It’s on the West side of Broadway between Academy and West 204th Streets. Supporting local small businesses like this one supports our Inwood community!
