Shaking hands, touching one’s face and attending big gatherings may be out of bounds with the novel coronavirus working its way through the city, but for many art lovers the reward outweighed the risk and a bunch of them descended on 50 Varick for Independant New York 2020 this weekend. More than 60 galleries, artists and dealers set up shop on four floors of the swanky SoHo building. The Gazette popped in for a quick peek late Sunday afternoon and ran out of exhibit hours before exhibits, but what we took in before the guards hollered ‘show’s over!’ was pretty amazing.
