Incitement

January 28, 2020

By Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center

The new Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center semester has just begun and we can already feel the energy building for an amazing line-up of events that spans the globe, that balances the light with the serious and provides dozens of opportunities for you to think, debate, enjoy and make new friends.

We want to highlight one in particular that we hope you won’t neglect as you plan your time with us.

Next Wednesday, January 29, we will be screening a film that resonates with grim clarity at a moment when fake news, fanaticism and the influence of extremists are turning our world upside down. Incitement, Israel’s entry into the 2020 Oscars, is the tale of how those same forces changed the course of Israeli history when a young Jew trained to the most extreme form of zealotry spilled Jewish blood in the name of Jewish law, leaving Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin dead and his nation without a leader audacious enough to forge peace.

We are honored that Rabin’s daughter Dalia will join us to discuss the film in conversation with Ambassador Ido Aharoni.

Take a look at the trailer. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
