Mr. Theater

January 18, 2020

What do you say when your 80 something years old Dad announces that show biz was his true calling after all? Break a hip? The situation was explored on Saturday evening at UP Theater Company‘s Dead of Winter Reading Series at the old CUNY Heights building on Cooper Street. Afterwards, playwright Doug Bost led a talk-back session with the fifty or so aficionados who had just enjoyed a reading of his “Mr. Theater.”

Next week “Drown” will complete the series. “A teenage boy attempts to cope with his mom’s suicide-by-drowning, while his mom tries to cope with her new life under the sea.”

Artistic Director James Bosley, ‘Mr. Theater’ Hal Robinson, and Playwright Doug Bost.
