Once in a while a TV series surprises and greatly exceeds expectations. HBO‘s current program, Our Boys, does that. Set in Israel’s recent past and based on some actual events, Our Boys skillfully blends documentary and theatrical footage to tell a story best summarized by the word ‘complicated.’
While it’s impossible to comprehend what it’s like to live in such a tense environment by watching TV on the other side of the world, this series does provide a fly on the wall’s view of what that tension looks like up close. Check this one out if you get the chance.
