Tony Saborio is a multi-disciplinary artist that thrives by working in diverse mediums and materials including lighting, sculpture, drawing, painting, and photography. And in this exhibition we get to view and appreciate his journey and the destination without needing to know the final end point. Through the process at time is frenetic, uncomfortable, beautiful, unexpected, and relentless. A mind that never rests.
His debut exhibition, 20 of the 22 pieces on display have been created in the last 11 months in the tight confide of his studio apartment in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
All works are intended to cause deep thought and self-reflection, to contemplate our time, our interactions, our relationships, and the positivity we enjoy within those moments. As you dedicate your heart to an existence, anything you truly love is a part of a great mystery that you will never really comprehend. We have a tacit understanding that the negative is the only constant in the pursuance of maintaining positivity to move forward. Bringing others together and forgetting about everything else for a long breath with “No RUSH for Relaxation”…
