The crowd was on its feet, dancing in the aisles, holding aloft celphones and livestreaming the acts on Saturday night at Lehman Center in the Bronx. El Jeffrey, Fidelina, and Rubby Pérez worked the crowd into a sweaty merengue frenzy as a troupe of attractive dancers clad in traditional colors and outfits of DR provided captivating visuals featuring performers both young and not so young. An added attraction was the appearance of Ramfis Domínguez-Trujillo who’s running for President of the Dominican Republic. The election is scheduled to take place on May 17, 2020.
