Stompin’ at The Cloisters

Alex Nguyen, winner of the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Competition, and his quartet brought 1930’s jazz to the Cloisters today for the first of three summer shows at the Met Museum’s Inwood outpost.

Last summer at the Met Cloisters, I performed an evening of music of the 1930s, the decade in which The Cloisters was built. It was so well received, this year I’m returning with three different groups for the dates below:

Friday, June 16th  5:30-6:30pm

Dan Kleijn – guitar, Luke Sellick- bass, Phil Stewart – drums

Friday, August 11th  5:30pm-6:30pm

Alex Wintz – guitar, Dave Barron – bass, Jimmy MacBride – drums

Friday, August 25th  5:30pm-6:30pm

Steven Feifke – piano, Luke Sellick – bass, Jay Sawyer – drums
